How the calculation works.
Your Google rating is the average of every star rating you’ve received, shown to one decimal place. So every new review moves that average, and every 5-star review pulls it up.
The calculator works out how many 5-star reviews it takes to lift your average to your target:
reviews × (target − current rating)
(5 − target)
Say you have 40 reviews at 4.2 and you want 4.5. That’s 40 × 0.3 ÷ 0.5 = 24.
You need 24 more 5-star reviews.
Small steps.

Every tenth costs more.
The closer you get to 5.0, the more reviews each step takes. At 100 reviews, going from 4.2 to 4.4 takes 34 five-star reviews. Going from 4.6 to 4.8 takes 100.
That’s why steady beats sporadic. Ask every customer, every week, and keep climbing.

Say you have 20 reviews and a 4.8. One 1-star review drops you to 4.6. Getting back to 4.8 takes 19 more 5-star reviews.

Chase steady, not perfect.
A perfect 5.0 can look too good to be true, especially with only a handful of reviews. A high 4 with plenty of recent reviews reads as real. Customers trust volume and recency as much as the number itself.
